About Alec
As a designer and builder of robots and automation systems, I am passionate about creating innovative solutions that solve complex problems and improve efficiency. With years of experience in the industry, I have developed a deep understanding of the principles of mechanics, electronics, and software engineering, and I constantly strive to stay at the forefront of emerging technologies. Whether I’m designing a custom robotic solution or programming a sophisticated control system, my goal is always to deliver high-quality, reliable solutions that meet my clients’ unique needs. I am committed to excellence in everything I do, and I take pride in my ability to turn my clients’ visions into reality.
Throughout my career as a designer and builder of robots and automation systems, I have had the opportunity to work on a wide range of exciting projects. One of my most notable achievements was developing the electrical and control system for a custom 5-axis CNC semiconductor chip manufacturing equipment, where I solely designed and implemented the electronics and software to handle delicate components and perform precise movements. I’ve also developed industrial automation systems for environment monitoring and control, where I’ve utilized Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems which collect information from an array of sensors and directly from manufacturing equipment. Finally, I have developed under water web-interfaceable computer vision systems used for university marine life research.
In my free time, I love exploring the outdoors and engaging in physical activities such as hiking, backpacking, mountain biking, and skiing. I find that being in nature is a great way to clear my mind and recharge my batteries, while also challenging myself physically. Whether I’m hitting the trails on my mountain bike or strapping on my skis for a day on the slopes, I always feel invigorated and energized after spending time in the great outdoors.
