Battery Holder Assembly
The battery holders need to be properly positioned underneath the dog so that the weight distribution allows for a natural walking gait. Positioning the batteries too far forward or backward will cause the robot to have too much weight towards one end.
After completing the assembly of the robot, it may be helpful to play with the positioning - sliding the batteries slightly more forward or backward can have a huge impact on the performance.
Over Discharge Warning
If you over discharge the batteries, if they have a protection circuit, you can refresh the batteries by connecting them to a voltage source set to the nominal battery voltage. Do not rely on over-discharge protection circuit to shut the robot off.
